SCHIMPF WEEK IN REVIEW JULY 10 - 14
MURPHYSBORO, IL – After more than two years, the State of Illinois has a budget plan in place, but it is coming at the expense of higher income taxes, according to State Sen. Paul Schimpf (R-Waterloo).
The Senator did not support the increased tax rates, but he is relieved that some normalcy has been returned to the fiscal process. Senator Schimpf suggested that there was a lot more work to be done in order to help fix the state's long-term fiscal goals and bring the much-needed business reforms to Illinois.
Schimpf to cohost Carbondale free senior event
All interested senior citizens in the Carbondale area are invited to attend for information and demonstrations on important quality-of-life issues. More than 50 area vendors will be in attendance to provide services to area seniors. The annual Senior Fair at the Carbondale Civic Center on July 20, from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m.

Senator Schimpf is announcing the new location of his Murphysboro district office. His Mt. Vernon and Capitol office locations remain the same.
